The Memo

Dear Successful

As some say things will never change, I am inspired by the story of Julia Child.

Later in life, inspired by a trip, she changed the way we saw food. With each step, a whole generation of chefs especially women owe her a thank you note.

What I love about her, she stretched the imagination what food could be. It did not have to be just something ordinary. With a few techniques and a little bit of imagination, food could be extraordinary.

Her success shows us this: from the housewife, to the tired executive, and even some successful who wants to go in a different direction, no matter what age, all things are indeed possible.

Stay in the possible. For all things are.

Have a great and productive week.

the memo

Dear Successful

As the country talks about being broke, think about the Creator who supplies all of our needs.

During the great depression, people had to rely on invention. They had to go to the community and barter.  I give you bread, and I will take care of your sick. A young mother had to recycle old clothes and sew a blanket.  A couple had to make sweet love in a shack they made with their own hands.

People came out of stronger. Companies did not have, fufilled the needs and gave escape.

I know you look and sometimes are discouraged because it seems like the world is so stacked against you.  If you rely on creative solutions, you can weather out any storm.

Out of a great economic storm, came Mickey Mouse, he gave joy and laughter to many.  In the end with faith and creative thinking, Disney is a billion dollar empire.

All things are possible, just be creative.

Have a great and productive week

the memo

Dear Successful

The country needs to be inspired by the success of others. It is your job to fullfill their needs.

Even though people say, that is in impossible, I don't think it is.

Take a page out of history. For Africian Amercians who came into this country, they had nothing for the most part.  They came here, learn the language, learn survial skills, and learned how to thrive.

They pass the lessons to each generation.

They hada dream, hard work, and sacrfice. There was no easy way, not many opportunities, and very little role models.  No Russell Simmons, Sean Combs, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, Reginald Lewis,
Shawn Carter, or Kathy Hughes.

There was no Jet, Essence, or Ebony magazine to inspire them as I had as I was growing up.

Imagination. They perfected their skills each day.

Be creative. All things are possible. Have faith.

The Memo

Dear Successful

Turn off the news for a moment and travel back in the time when you have faith.

For all the great ones from Rockerfeller to Henry Ford dealt with severe economic environments and were able to endure. They did not have twitter, websites, or even the most advance education. They had a vison that they channeled into ideas.

It is diffcult to take your briefcase out and know that you are equipped to handle the road ahead.

It is jungle out there, but you sometimes you have to start swinging.

Have a great and productive week.

enoy the holiday.
