the memo

Dear Successful

Impossible. As you enter into the lion's den of business, this is a word you will often hear if you want more than average. Your skills are not great, your race works against you, and sometimes even the sex. Then if you add in a big dose of recession, in the eyes of many, your dreams of success should be the reality of failure.  The world tells you that you should allow your dream to just sit on the shelf.
When I think of the word possible, Oprah Winfrey comes to mind.
In the world of reality, she should not be a success. Dipped in ebony in female form, she was born into failure especially when very few African Americans had tasted the success the Creator would have for her.
Through hard work and faith, she endured the negative, the lies, the betrayal. She shattered the glass ceiling in her industry without even a master degree or the family connections. Over time, Oprah created something out of nothing. With encouragement and sincere heart, she inspired many to become everything that the Creator had for them, no matter the race or sex.
I am very sure she stayed up many nights with tears in her eyes discouraged on how she would make her impossible dream possible.
As you sit and plan out your impossible dream, consider this woman dipped in ebony.
The impossible is indeed possible if you know how to roar.

Have a great and productive week.
